Can you tell I've been busy?

Hello world. Can you tell I have been a bit busy? My last post was a year ago :) I would like to introduce you to the newest member of our world, Jacilynn Dianne Mayfield. She was born October 21, 2011, (in your best announcer voice) weighing in at 7 lbs, 5 oz , 21" long. She was supposed to be a Halloween baby but the world wanted her to be here earlier. She is the sweetest baby. She knows that Momma has a lot going on so she is patient! Nathan is good with her, it took a while but he is getting better. He watches me with her and imitates what I do and say to her, like "baby girl I see those eyes".

I am going to continue this blog through the eyes of a working mother with children 4 years apart from each other. I love being a mother, wife and keeping the house, but I also love my career and workplace. They are extended family to me and hope I can keep everything going as smoothly as I can, we just might have to push our way through the laundry :)

Oops, I hear the baby waking up now.

Just Wondering

Don't people care about other people anymore? Why can't you take 2 seconds out of your "busy" life and be considerate. Let someone out in front of you. Let the guy with 2 items go in front of you in line. Ask How are you today. I think in this world of technology, we have forgotten how to just be courteous.

Our life as we love it

We are enjoying every day to the fullest. Nathan just turned 3. He is the sweetest most polite little boy ever. He says his please and thank you's. I have had several people tell me he should be a model that he is so adorable. But he is too shy, we tried and he didn't like it so we didn't push. He loves Cars and Toy Story but we watch most all Disney and Pixar movies. We watch Garfield and Odie in the mornings. He LOVES to be outside and always wants to play baseball. He is a lefty and I am proud as I am a lefty as well. You can tell he will be good at sports. He can hit a baseball like nobody's business. He is potty trained with the except of the occasional accident but he let's you know. No accidents in bed at all! He is getting really good at complete sentences. Oh! I almost forgot, he is loves to cuddle with me. He calls Eskimo kisses "noseys". If I have a headache, he asks me "what's wrong?" And "kisses to make it better".
Now don't let me fool you, he is still at the end of the terrible two's. He tends to be stubborn, cries and flops like a fish on a whim. But overall he is a good kid.
He absolutely admires my younger brother Kenny. Nathan thinks he is just amazing. Now Kenny could take it or leave it, or at least thats how he acts. I know Kenny loves having Nathan around to hang out with and play video games.
Now on the other side of the spectrum, Nathan could take or leave my sister Kathleen. When she is around, he will watch movies with her or play but when she isn't around, he doesn't remember her name. Maybe didn't help she wasn't around much for the first 2 years. Now that she is having a girl ( woo hoo!!!!!) she is around a lot more. I am glad that I may get my sister back and Nathan gets his aunt.
Ok on another note, we are excited to do some things this summer that Nathan is going to love!

Update

Hello all. Well I forgot about the site for a while but just realized I need to update it. Nathan is in the midst of the "terrible" twos. He says no and "finet" a lot to me. He loves his Curious George and Toy Story I and II. Well here are some updated pics.
